Volunteer Information



STEP 1: Complete the volunteer application (see below) and submit it, along with a copy of your driver's license, to the local school for princpal approval.


STEP 2: Complete the request for the SecureVolunteer Background Check.

1.     Click on (or go to) https://bib.com/securevolunteer/limestone-county-schools/background-check

2.    Click on, "I Want to Volunteer!" icon to complete the application. 

3.     Follow steps to submit a volunteer background check. 

4.     Background checks requires the following personal information, including but not limited to: 

·      Legal Name, 

·      Address, 

·      Date of Birth, 

·      Social Security Number, and 

·      Driver's License Number. 

5.     It takes only fives minutes to complete the request.

STEP 3: When the local school principal submits your volunteer application to the Human Resources Department at the LCS central office, SecureVolunteer will be given the go ahead to perform the background check.  Once the results of the background check are received and cleared by SecureVolunteer, the individual will, then, be placed on the board agenda for approval as a volunteer.


STEP 4: Once an individual has been approved by the board to be a volunteer, SecureVolunteer will be notified and the volunteer's Secure Volunteer ID card will be created and mailed to the volunteer.


Just a reminder that volunteers must go through this process each school year.
