Shearouse gives District update during State of Education event

Superintendent Dr. Randy Shearouse gave an update on Limestone County Schools this morning as part of the Greater Limestone County Chamber of Commerce 's annual State of Education.
In his presentation, Shearouse highlighted enrollment growth, a capital plan which includes a new Elkmont Elementary slated to open in the fall of 2024, and the creation of programs such as Ready to Work, Work Based Learning, and Advanced Ag thanks to partnerships with local business and industry. He also touched on the various academic opportunities available for students, as well as what the District is doing to provide education of the whole child through social emotional learning.
Vince Green, Director of the Limestone County Career Technical Center, also spoke.
